Tuesday to Friday 9/3-9/6

We will be busy this week! We will finish our STAR testing and setting our AR goals for this report card period.
In Georgia Studies, we will continue to look at the makeup of Georgia's physical regions, climate, flora, and fauna. We will learn how to use an almanac to learn about Georgia's climate. We will be creating posters and/or travel brochures to highlight our state's wonderous areas. Please read your textbook in Chapter 1 and 2 and visit the Internet sites on our blog for more information.
In English Language Arts, we will continue working on our writing skills. We will take a look at what make our writing interesting and engaging to readers. We will focus on sensory details and adding figurative language. Students will conference with teacher.
We will continue looking at the differences between narrative writing and other forms of writing. We will continue our discussion about the elements of literature and what makes a good story. We will be reading "The Bracelet" and practice reading strategies and comprehension exercises to increase our reading skills.
Friday will be our Review Day! We are hoping for a great week of fun and learning! Email me if you ir your parents have any questions about this week's lesson.
